Boys and girls both will love this new book by Cynthia C. DeFelice. It just came out and is a good read for those who like books about mystery and friendship. It is called "Signal". Check it out.

Summer Read for Girls

I just finished reading "Just Grace Goes Green". It has the styly of the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid". This book is the latest in a series of Just Grace books. It is a light and easy read with some environmental education. Enjoy!

Milton House

We had a fabulous field trip to the Milton House yesterday. Thanks for Mrs. Budzinski, Mrs. Consolazione, and Ms. Ott for accompanying us. Ms. Ott took some wonderful shots at our picnic across from the historic Milton House. The field trip tied in so nicely to our social studies discussions of the underground railroad, Abraham Lincoln, and the westward movement.

Notes from Wisconsin Hills

As promised, the WHMS principal chat minutes have been posted to the WHMS website. Since 5th grade parents were invited to this meeting and since several families were unable to attend, the minutes have been posted on our webpage. Layne Gets Cuffed

Officer Kotrly had a few extra minutes during DARE so he used Layne to model handcuffing procedures. Hopefully we'll never exsperience anything like this for real. Thanks, Layne, for being a good sport!
